Danganronpa 2 is my personal favourite Danganronpa game, and it's the one I've written the most fanfiction about over the years. Here are my fics, in the form of AO3 links!
Because I started writing Danganronpa fanfiction before the game was officially released in English, these fics generally use the conventions of orenronen's fan translation, e.g. referring to characters by surname. Unless otherwise specified, everything is rated T: suitable for teenagers and up.
The Fine Print of Gratitude (2025): Hinata and Komaeda, gen. 4,000 words.
Komaeda nurses Hinata back to health after a murder attempt.
Well, yes, Komaeda's the one who tried to kill him in the first place, but let's not worry too much about the details.
Captured (2024): Hinata/Koizumi, het. 2,100 words.
“Now that two of your classmates have met tragic ends,” Monokuma announces, “there aren’t enough beds to go around, so some of you bastards are going to have to share.”
Hinata lets out a quiet breath. It’s not great news, but he was braced for worse.
It takes his mind a moment to catch up. “Hold on. That’s not how numbers work. There should be more beds per person.”
Nagito Komaeda Gets Under Everyone's Skin and/or Clothes (2019): Danganronpa 1/Danganronpa 2 crossover, Komaeda/various first-game characters, het and slash, rated M. 5,100 words.
Komaeda gets locked up in Hope’s Peak with the first game’s cast. He gets weirdly intimate with a lot of them.
Sleep Tight (2017): Danganronpa 1/2/V3 crossover, Akamatsu/Hinata/Naegi, het. 2,300 words.
Akamatsu, Hinata and Naegi awkwardly share a room, and then awkwardly share a bed. That's the entire plot of this fic.
(Mis)fortune (2016): Hinata, Kuzuryuu and Komaeda, gen. 3,800 words.
In which Komaeda's best-laid plans are thwarted by his own luck.
Worth Something (2016): Hinata, Koizumi and Kuzuryuu, gen. 2,800 words.
After the Twilight Syndrome events, Hinata tried to speak to Koizumi. Maybe he managed it.
Nagito Komaeda Makes Everyone Uncomfortable and Possibly Sleeps With Them All (2016): Komaeda/various, het and slash, rated M. 6,300 words.
Komaeda gets very close to a lot of people on the island. Hinata has to see more of it than he'd like.
Blur (2015): Hinata, gen. 4,100 words.
He thinks he might be Hinata. He's Hinata, isn't he? But he has fourteen other sets of memories trapped in his mind.
Flashbulb (2015): Koizumi and Hinata, gen. 3,400 words.
The person who was once Mahiru Koizumi wakes up.
Humanity's Hope (2013): Hinata and Komaeda, gen. 5,600 words.
Shortly after the first trial, the Hope's Peak kids are rescued from Jabberwock Island. A few months later, because apparently they haven't been through enough already, a strange fungus starts turning the people around them into mindless monsters. Maybe there's a chance for a cure; unfortunately, that chance means that Hinata is going to have to spend a lot of time with Nagito Komaeda. Inspired by The Last of Us.
Forecast Bleak (2013): Hinata/Komaeda, slash. 1,900 words.
Hinata and Komaeda huddle for warmth. It's as cute as you might expect.
Crossroads (2013): Hinata/Komaeda, slash. 1,900 words.
Murder field trips acquaint a man with regrettable bedfellows, as the saying doesn't go.
